In the ancient era, the most common people of Pirojpur region were executed farmers, they had little or no leisure time to relax. However, the history of Pirojpur's sports world is very rich. Traditional and notable sports include football, cricket, hockey, athletics, table tennis, volleyball, kabaddi, kite flying etc.

Football in the playground of Pirojpur in the glory of self-glory is incandescent. Pirojpur district has 01 national quality grounds. There is also a mini stadium in almost every upazila.

In the Pirojpur district, the annual inter-district and inter-district football competition in the pre-winter season (October-November), inter school and inter-city cricket competition are held in winter season. Apart from this, badminton, volleyball, table tennis, Hadudu contest is held regularly.

Entertainment: In the ancient times, the most common people of Pirojpur region were working farmers, they had little or no leisure time to relax. But later, theater, jatra, kabigan, jarigan, puppet dance, horse racing, bull fight, boat race, rural fairs, multi-girl games etc. were set up.

At present, the fair of Shree Chuadarshi fair of Rayan and the Jagatdhatir fair of Nazirpur have become a significant fairs throughout South Bengal. Generally, all entertainment ceremonies are held in the winter season.

People of famous TV actor Momtaz Hossain Nazirpur. Popular writer Humayun Ahmed, son of Golam Mostafa of actor and recitation, has spent the day in Pirojpur. World famous sorcerer Jewel Aich's house in Pirojpur. Khalid Hassan Milu, a famous music artist, was born in Pirojpur.

There are 2 movie theaters in Pirojpur town. The only park in DC Park A district on the banks of the Baleshwar Bridge Different national and private events are organized at 4 community centers in the city.
